Have been emailing Dave02 on his thoughts about my vibes. Been chasing this since I got the Sub up and running last year.
Tonight I put the Sub on jackstands removed the wheels and tightened lug nuts and brought it up to speed. Vibe still there. Removed drums and brought it up to speed, vibe still there. Put drums, and wheels back on and removed rear half of driveshaft. Vibe still there. Crawled underneath and noticed slack in front half of drive shaft and tranny tailshaft.
Are the splines worn on the tail shaft of the tranny or front half of driveshaft? What is the acceptable amount of play here? Could it be in the carrier bearing that is holding the front part of the driveshaft?
Thoughts?
