Rust, dirt, crud in the fuel tanks of the 1980 Silverado C10 killed two valves that switch between the two tanks.
Took a while to figure out why the valves were going bad. Sticking and not switching to the other tank was the issue. At $79 bucks each, decided to do something about it.
Replacement tanks were out of the question. There is a special liguid you can pour into an emptied gas tank and seal the crud down, but didn't want to take the two tanks off.
Decided to live with the crud and put in $5 buck filters. 5/32" hose and a bunch of colored tie wraps so that when changing the filters out, won't mix up the two lines.
