This is on one of the rentals. Made that gate about 20 years ago and it's begining to sag so the latch won't catch all the time.
Instead of the typical galvanized wire and turn buckle, used 1/16"x1" aluminum bar stock. Drilled a hole at each end.
One end bolted directly to the top of the gat gusset.
Other end has Eye bolt and turn buckle and it's eye bolt to the gusset at the bottom of the gate.
Cad plated hardware should out last the rest of the fence/gate. Aluminum bar stock will out last that.
