I am looking at a used Continental Cargo trailer that fits my neeeds perfectly. It is an 8 x 18 trailer, reamp rear door, which has what is referred to a a "motorcycle package". The front 1/2 of the triler is basically a camper offering shower/toilet combo, dual sink, fridge, cabinets, etc., with tow fold-out bunks in the back. Should haul a few Harleys very nicely.
The '90 V1500 has a 3.42 gear ratio (which I know sux for towing. rebuilt GMAC tranny installed two years ago with 1 year left n warranty. I will have it checked out prior to pulling trailer (it seeks OD a tad to much on light throttle. Will add a heavy duty aux tranny cooler at that time. Truck has the "towing package". Trailer has a "load leveling" hitch with the bars. Although the bar/chains on this hitch attach to the ball part of the hitch, do I need to install a heavier receiver on the Sub? Here are the specs on the trailer:
Continental Cargo Tandem Axle Specifications

The weight specs here DO NOT include the weight of the camper/motorcycle package. I could not imagine that adding even 1000# to the weight.
Any and all help would be appreciated. This trailer list mew for $14,200, and I can get this 2000 model for <$5000. Thanks in advance!!
