When changing the idler arm, did you change the pivot bracket assy too?
The alignment on my '94 is true and does not roam. However, there is excessive L-R play in the steering wheel movement. At 157k miles, I suppose it is time to start the replacement process. I haven't had the time to lay under the truck while my son moves the steering; to see which component is contributing the most to the slop.
