Been experimenting with a device called a Tide Buzz, ultrasonic spot remover. Results amazing so far. Found on most household stuff it annihilated spot. On Sub carpet, not perfect but most effective found to date. Unit has liquid that it sprays by pressing a button and an ultrasonic pen wand. Find you must use enough liquid to generate a lather and then blot with clean towel. Worked fine on the velour of the cargo area covers and on dirtry seat belts. Failed to fix a carpet spot where some kind of candy like a red-hot melted and turned it red.
Bought on ebay for $10 plus another $10 to get it shipped. Well worth it.
I also have an ultrasonic liquid bath unit that I find very useful for small parts. Great for gun stuff and nutz and boltz. Killed a watch in it so only put the band in. Harbor freight had a cheap one maybe worth a try. Mine's a scientific unit that cost big $$.
