Als454, you were right on.
Went back out after your reply. Dome lights would flicker and then die. I looked at the battery posts and, what do you know, the positive battery post looked corroded. Measured battery voltage and it kept fluctuating between 0 and 11.8 volts. Couldn't get a steady reading. I figured it's the corrosion. Tried to remove battery harness and the positive post came right out; completely shot. I guess I'll be going to Sears for a Red Top.
Question for you NBS owners. Has any of you converted to top post battery, and, is there a kit for the conversion?
Ben, I know one could make his own, but with all the projects on my head (home and work), I'd rather buy a kit.
