Own a 94 Suburban 1500 4WD. Love it, want to keep it. Need a little more pulling power on the hills (pulling 8,000 lb boat). Dealer said to change rear end from 3.42 standard to a 3.73 or 3.92. Said engine or transmission could not be changed out for heavier duty ones.
