I'll be moving to Las Vegas (from Santa Clara, CA) next week (about 550 miles). My uncle is helping me move, so I'll be towing his car while he drives the rental truck. My truck is an '88 Suburban R20 TBI TH400 3.73. I know my truck is rated to tow the load (approx 4000lbs), but I'm concerned with the tires. The tires on the rear of my truck are Load Range C. The tires in front are Load Range E. Am I asking for trouble towing with these tires? Anyone know how much weight these tow dollies for cars put on the tounge. Car is a small rag top sports car, probably 3000 lbs.
