I am still working on getting a bike carrier for the 'burb. I have 5 kids so I need at least a 4-bike rack. It looks like it could get expensive when you add in the adapter bars for the girl's bikes (4 of them eventually as the bottom two are only 2 and 4yrs old). I have a lead on used Thule Expressway as a possibility but the girls bike thing is still a problem and an expense.
Someone suggested using one of the hitch mounted platforms and just standing the bikes up on it and using some straps to secure them. I might even get more than 4 bikes on the platform. I could use the platform for other light hauling when I don't need to take the bikes.
Any ideas or suggestions?
