Is pre-1999 Chevy SUV/Truck AC/HAVC control unit very easy to go wrong?
My 1999 Tahoe,
Air Temp and Fan Speed knobs work, Rear De-Fog button works;
both A/C and Re-Circle bottons, and Air Deli Mode knob do not work, the A/C and Re-Circle lights never come on no matter how many time pressed.
All the air only comes out from floor outlet. AC compressor clutch does not engage, except wire A/C comnpressor relay directly to ground, then compressor works and cold air comes out from floor outlet.
Based on symptom. I looked at AC/HAVC schmetics, looks like some thing wrong with the control unit internal.
I checked e-bay, there are a lot of pre-99 Chevy SUV/Truck AC/HAVC Control unit for sale. This is hot part even dealer sell re-manufactured one.
Do you have experience about that unit?
