Had posted earlier that I received a recall notice C03002-S, re gas tank puncture in frontal crash. Dealer needed to get parts, so only had it done today. This was the first the dealer had done. The "shield" is a full size, fibreglass shield, that attaches to the frame. All the bolt holes with insert nuts were already there, as well as clip in holes. Looks like it should have been there from the factory. Dealer thinks it's the standard shield from a 1 ton P/U. I'm very happy to have the shield fitted, regardless of the reason.
