I make a practice of replacing tire valve stems at same time tires are changed. Not sure how many of you know this but, tire valve stems have different maximum psi ratings. When it came time to mount new LT245/75R 16E tires onto 8-lug OEM rims, I was surprised to discover the number of tire shops that did not carry the correct valve stem. The recommended tire pressure located on the driver door for my 1997 K2500 Burb is 80 psi. None of the tire shops carried a valve stem rating above 65 psi. Sooo, here is a source for those of you needing the correct valve stem.

I use P/N TR600HP which is rated at 100 psi.
