I started developing a vibration at speeds above 60, and it turned out the rear U joint was shot. They showed it to me and it was completely rusted out, no bearings left. There is still a vibration remaining, although not nearly as bad. I was told that the bearings should be replaced at a cost of 600-800. I was also told that if I wait, it would get worse, and more parts would have to be replaced in the rear diff.
The reasoning is that the bad U joint forced movement in the rear diff, that wasn't meant to happen. This seems logical, but before I spend all that money, I wanted to run it all by you guys.
