This is a case where $2 (literally) and 5 minutes of prevention can save a several hundred dollar repair.

Materials from local NAPA:

-- 4 inches of radiator cooling tube slightly larger than the diameter of your AC coolant hose.
-- 2 zip ties

The place mine seemed to be rubbing most is just forward of the rear wheel where the AC hose crosses an edge of the frame. You can pretty easily access it without a jack or lift.

Cut a 4-inch piece of radiator tube and then cut a lengthwise slit in it. Slide this tube over your AC cooling tube and use the two zip ties to secure it.

Inspect it again in a year to make sure you haven't worn through your radiator tube-- I did this two years ago and have no appreciable wear, but I'm keeping an eye on it.

Advice too late, but maybe it'll help somebody else before the same problem hits them.
