I have a 98 K1500 and the oil pressure when hot is 20 psi at idle. On the highway it varyies, One time it will be at 45 and after stopping at a stop light and then getting back up to speed it will read 38. If I rev it up it will go back up and stay there. It does this intermittently is that normal ?? If I tach it up it will have about 50-55 at 4 grand and close to 60 at 5 grand. Is it possible that the sending unit is going on the fritz ?? Oil pressure wouldn't fluctuate like that would it?? I am not to concernedbecause there is plenty of oil pressure just curious.
