"Max trailer" rating is meaningless

It's based on a bone stock Suburban. Absolutely no options and only 1 person, the driver that weighs in at 150lbs. If you have any options (2nd & 3rd row seats, AC, radio, 4x4, auto tranny, rear heater/AC, roof rack, etc) and more people/luggage, they all subtract from that "max trailer rating" of 5,500lbs. That will be the true "max trailer" you should be considering.

A 1/2 ton Sub can hold a lot of stuff and can get you over the limit fast.

Think you will be right at that 4,700lb.

Also stay away from "P" rated tires. If that's what you have, then note that they need to be DE-RATED min 9% of the max weight carrying rating listed on sidewall, while keeping to max pressure.

What kind/brand of WD hitch, cam anti-sway control and brake controller?

Great towing vehicles when set up right.
