Intermittent idling - Fuel Vapor Canister

I have a 98 K2500 with the 7.4 and 130K on the odometer. I've had problems at idle and in reverse, she kept wanting to stall. The idle also kept bouncing from 300 to 800 rpm when I was stopped drive/park. It reached the point where I had to either put it in neutal and step on the gas at a stop light or just step on the brake and gas or she would stall. I've done all the recommended check/fixes: OBD scan, clear memory, intake air temperature sensor, IAC, Coolant temperature sensor, EGR, replaced all battery cables pos/neg with 1/0 cable, changed from sidepost to toppost with military connections. NO LUCK. After speaking with my uncle, he suggested to check the Fuel Vapor Canister. That was it, the airhole was clogged and the filter looked kind of ragged. I unclogged the hole and drove the car for the next couple of days, she didn't die on me once. It idled a little rough but no bouncing tach. I changed out the FVC and she's idling great now. Just thought I would share this fix with you guy's, not sure if anyone mentioned this before.
