Hello people!
I am looking into a ConFerr roof rack (or one from Iron Horse) for my '01 K2500.
Has anyone purchased and installed one of these? I am asking because I am wondering by how much the vehicle's roof clearance is reduced. In looking at the product specs, the rack's walls are 4" tall. But it sits on the factory roof rack cross supports and not on the length-wise roof runners. So you're adding some 5" or 6" (I'm counting mounting harware too) to the total vehicle height and THAT is unacceptable if I wanna drive the 'Burban and park the thing in any parking garage structure. My OnStar antenna already bends back when I go thru the garage at OHare airport.
Well, if anyone has some experience, please let me know!
