Steve,
Your mention of specific colors of wiring triggered an
after thought.
I have a wiring diagram for a "Pollak" 7 pin round
connector (one on Suburban mentioned before).
Here is wiring info - and is what I believe it to be
wired to. As mentioned in other message - by eye - no
wire is larger than 10ga.
Recommended Wire Gage:
(maybe won't stay in tabular form)
Pin Color Gage Function
1 White 10 Ground (Common)
5 Red 14 Stop + LH turn
4 Black 10 Battery Charge
7 Yellow 14 Extra Auxilliary Ckt.
3 Green 14 Tail, Liscence & Running lites
6 Brown 14 Stop + RH turn
2 Blue 12 Electric Brake

My Recommendation - for pins 1,4,7,2 run the largest
wire you can - the others are overkill already unless
trailer is "decorated" with running lites!!!
As for 7 (Aux Ckt. probably nothing on trailer end, but
if going to run a conduit under the "Burb" might as well get it over with and put a fat wire in!!)
If gets to where you think it's worth it - I can scan
in the drawing and send it to you.
Lee
