I decided to go for maximum braking for minimum expense when I did the front brakes on my K2500 4x4. I bought the Praise stage I pads for $95 and a pair of 2 yr free replacement warranty rotors from Auto Zone for $59.99 each. I paid a mechanic $60 to do the labor, so I spent $275 for all new front brakes installed.
John at Praise was very helpful and said the stage one pads would work great with any rotors but the stage II pads required purchasing the expensive rotors. I asked about the factory rotors at $120/each (no warranty) and he said to buy the $59.99/each Auto Zone rotors with warranty.
After inspecting the rear drums and shoes I cleaned and adjusted them and the braking of the truck is dramatically improved. I highly reccommend Praise pads. They have twice the friction cf of stock pads and I can certainly feel in in every application of the brakes.
