Anyone here know anything about Airstreams? Especially older models?
I am toying with the idea of buying a used one. I don't know much about trailers, but I have heard Airstreams are the best. Can anyone suggest a website or other resource with info about Airstreams? (I have seen the manufacturer's website).
One unit I am considering is a 1975 31 foot model, apparently in good shape (I haven't seen it yet). The price is really low. My '99 K2500/7.4/4.1 should have no problems towing it.
How do I establish market value of an old Airstream?
Also, when do these things become obsolete? The company tells me they stock parts for models back to the late 60's. My local Airstream dealer says a 26 year old Airstream should still have life left in it, but any other brand of trailer this old would be toast.
What do you guys think?
