Oh, the good old days when I could buy a set of Monster Mudders, lift kit, intake and carb, cam, headers, and bolt them on to my 75 Blazer in the driveway. My 68 GTO is also being watched and these threats to our toys are real, and are not going to go away, friends! I have yet joined any groups that fight to protect my rights to own and drive other than stock vechicles, or in the GTO case, a vechicle older than 20 years, but now may. If any one has the links or site addresses let me know. I have seen a few in Hemmings and assume that SEMA may have a link or two also. From what I hear, every year there are bills that get out of commimitte that are threats to our "toys" Some get through. Didnt the Clean Air Act allow big polluters to buy up "junkers" as they called them (cars and trucks so many years old..dont remember age) and in return receive credits that allowed them to pump more emmissions over their limit into the air after these "junkers" were crushed? We lost a lot of older cars and trucks that were not all "junkers". They wouldnt even part out the non-combustible parts I hear.
Man...will my young son have the fun and experience I had playing with cars and trucks? We all need to get involved and do what we can!
