Hope your's isn't a 2500, but then anyone who is seriously looking at a 2500 knows enough to not let them deliver it with "P" rated tires...unless they are just buying it for the big block...then they are most likely going to be boulevard cruisers and not towing heavy...I hope...

Just remember larger manufacturers have so much infostructure that by the time it gets to the purchasing department, it's just a bills of materials list vs approved vendors listing. The buyers are goaled, bonused, by how much under target price set by the project team's material coordinator...that it's the lowest bid that wins the contract.
We sent men to the moon on lowest bid...but there is better control of specifications at NASA...again, I hope...
