OK, How basic can we get here. I noticed on the side of the oil filter that it should be turned one full turn after contact with the seal, then backed off 1/8 turn. I have always hand tightened the oil filter but I can't get anywhere near 1 full turn by hand, probably close to 1/2 to 3/4 turn at best. Am I really supposed to put a filter wrench to a new filter? I had always heard that was a big no no. I haven't seen ANY oil around the filter so I assume it is OK, but I would like to know what others do here.
