Recently, I spoke with the fella that sold me the 3/4 ton full-size van that got "18 mpg" but only seemed to
squeeze out about 10-15 mpg for me, averaging about 13 mpg in the summer and about 10 mpg in winter. I sold the van and got a 90 Suburban that gets 15
to 18 in mostly highway driving. This same fellow is now selling a full size pickup that gets "24 mpg". WOW
huh! Here's some others -
A Suburban that gets 21 mpg. (Although I think 20 mpg might be possible with the right fluids and filters)
A Chev S-10 that gets 40 mpg. (Double WOW!)
Another full size van that gets 20 mpg on a trip.
Must be those magnets that they put around the fuel line which btw the "18 mpg van" mentioned above had on it. These make
excellent refrigerator magnets!
