: Has anyone on the board mounted a reese or similar hitch on the front of your suburban?
: I looked underneath, and there doesn't seem to be a natural place to mount it? Any thoughts or advice?
I have the WARN Multi-Mount 2" Receiver on the front of my '93 Sub. It was around $100 and it bolted up to the frame where the Recovery (Tow) Hooks bolt up. It uses the same bolts that hold the recovery hooks on (you still retain the recovery hooks).
I had to cut a 2 x 2 hole in the platic valence.
I use the 2" receiver for everything, the Wench (WARN XD9000i w/ multi-mount frame), a Clevis Mount (made it myself), moving trailers around, etc.
I am a volunteer FireFighter, so I had one of those Firefighter plates below my License plate. The 2" receiver comes out below the License plate, so the Firefighter plate had to go- but, then I got a great idea- make a mount that plugs the 2" receiver when not in use, and at the same time holds the FireFighter plate.
The end result is that no one even noticed that I added the 2" Receiver.
