I was always worried about a front u-joint blowing and pole-vaulting that car. We were lucky, on many counts.
I once put a 66 Plymouth 318 up against a pole and smoked off the RR tire. The next day, the oil pump intermediate shaft blew, and I got the blame. You never know what the weak link is.
