Use 4wd to go surf fishing on the beach and tow a beach catamaran on soft sand and launch it in the surf. I also explore the New Jersey Pine Barrens (largest tract of undeveloped land between Boston & Washington) on the soft beach type sand fire roads and even pulled an Izuzu Trooper stuck up to the axles out of the sand when his 4wd would'nt engage.
Also pull my brothers 6500lb boat up steep boat ramps in 4wd when he lets me use it.
Had to use it on a Vermont ski trip when we awoke to 16" of snow overnight parked by a cabin at the bottom of a 150' gravel driveway hill........no problem.
I just love 4WD!
