Old offroaders saying: 4x4 only allows you to get stuck farther away from the road

Haven't seriously offroaded my Sub yet. Just some "good" service/fire roads and some desert stuff in South Cal. Can go anywhere a +18foot, +6ton vehicle can/should go. Mainly up to the driver and somewhat equipment.

There were a couple comments last year here wondering why anyone would want a 2 door Tahoe, as it can't tow or haul much. That told me tons about them. It's the turning radius that matters for serious off roaders. They learn to go without (when young, old guys like me tend to bring everything...and yes I did without 35 years ago when I frist started offroading). Then I used to think a K5Blazer/Tahoe was too wide...that's why a Wrangler (aka CJ5) used to so much narrower...you can't make the trees/boulders move over out of the way... :)
