If your truck has the Factory Towing Package, it should have included a wiring harness (GM # 15366255) and a 40 amp fuse to install in the fuse box under the hood (its to charge the trailer battery). You can also get one at the link below, but the factory unit has a much longer harness. This plugs in under the dash after you remove a plastic cover. The harness has a wiring diagram on it.
