Excessive play in Steering Box - (No it is not a playful cow in a box!)

What is acceptable play in the steering box? I can easily turn the steering shaft back and forth a quarter turn with 2 fingers before it hits any resistance. Visually, the flexible rag joint looks good and the knuckle up towards the firewall appears to be tight.

Is there any adjustments on the OEM unit to help tighten it up?

94 C1500 5.7L TBI 96k miles
