I had the same problem in my 96 GMC 1500, they replaced the Cat Converter and that fixed the problem. If the Cat is your problem don't worry it should be under warrnaty
: Had my '98 K1500 5.7 for about a month now and there is noise eminating from under where the center hump meets the dash. It can best be described as a "clicking" sound. I'm sure it's a product of the stock exhaust system as it only is audible when you step on the throttle. Is this normal? Do aftermarket systems get rid of the click by isolating the noise to the inside of the pipe?
