: 1990 2wd sub. Has anyone figured out how to get rid of the engine/trans vibration while accelerating? Or is this just something you have to live with in an older sub. Different engine/trans mounts, or body mounts? Is there any way to smooth this thing out?

Forget the body mounts, but you don't have to live with it. Check the trans and engine mounts, though.
A friend had an 86 3/4 ton with 454 which had a cracked flywheel which vibrated under load. Also, check u-joints, mounting hardware and center carrier support on driveshaft. If all is OK, rotate driveshaft 180 degrees on rear yoke and check it again.
Traveler posted a neat procedure one time using hose clamps, I believe, to try to check driveshaft balance.
My 91 V1500 has never vibrated at all.
Good luck and post your findings.
