Hey guys, I just got back from the holidays in the mountains, and have to tell you something a little frightening that happened: Went out to warm up the suburban, and start loading it for the trip home. Turned on both front and rear heaters full blast/face vents selected. Opened up the rear hatch, started putting stuff in there. truck gets a little warmer, I put our 11 month old baby in his seat, yada yada. I come back out from the house and notice that exhaust (now visible in the freezing cold morning air) is being pulled directly into the rear heater air intake which is also on the passenger side, rear of the vehicle!! I freak, grab the kid out of the car seat and get him into the fresh air (mind you the rear overhead vents were blowing carbon monoxide directly into his face)He was fine of course, since he was only sitting in there a minute at the most, and probably was wondering what the h*ll I was doing... My concerns are this: Is this type of thing going to happen when someone comes out of a store to load groceries, starts up the truck and piles their kids in to warm them up. Whose bright idea was it to put the air intake and exhaust pipe on the same side of the rear end of the vehicle??!! What about after the door seals get a little older? I guess that rules out having my dual exhaust routed directly out the back. After getting home, I re-created the same thing, so it wasn't a fluke, but is only on the higher rear fan speeds. Any way I can let chevy know about this? -Ryan
