I own a '99 K2500 , and have an opportunity to buy a slightly used Expedition (I know, I know) from a relative at a great price. I'm thinking that this would be a great second vehicle that could help share the towing duties now performed by the Suburban. (4,000lb. boat/trailer) The 4x2 Expedition has the 5.4Lengine and 3.73 rear end, and has factory option 17" wheels versus the standard 16". My question: Do the bigger wheels effectively change the gearing, thereby impacting the vehicle's towing ability? How?
