Truck is going in the shop tomorrow, need some advice. We were driving off road, deep snow (12"-18") some time in 4hi some in 4lo. We had just pulled an Expy out of a ditch and had driven another 500', still in 4lo when we stopped to let oncoming truck pass, the road was just two tire tracks. As they were pulling past I started to move forward only to discover I was stuck! My son noticed the 4lo light was flashing and sure enough it had somehow slipped out of 4lo. We got a shove to get going bit, now I could not engage 4hi or lo. Got back to Phoenix, no problems 2hi highway driving but even this morning it will not engage 4hi (slow speed, parking lot) I can here a "thunk" but light indicator will not show 4hi engaged. This is the electronic selctor type. I've checked the past posting by Traveler and Marty on this issue. I'm wonder why it would disengage the way it did, at a stop, after having no problem shifting from 4hi to 4 lo and back per the instructions (slow speed, neutral gear etc.) Thanks for any help.
