I'm looking at buying a hitch for my '96 k1500 - which was not ordered with the tow package. Does have the factory skid plates - including the one under the gas tank.
1.) Who made the factory tow hitch for GM? I like factory parts, so getting one of these might be a good way to go.
2.) Has anyone tried the Hidden Hitch 'Round Tube' hitch? Is there a clearance issue with the skid plate?
Right now I am only looking to put a bicycle rack on it. But may do some heavier towing in the future (the truck does have the KNP and KC4 coolers, so I'm ok there.)
