My battery disintegrated at the side post today (99 K1500 with 75K miles). As luck would have it, I was in a shopping center that had a Walmart. I got a new battery, but was having trouble removing the corroded bolt from the starter and (accessory) wires. I ended up breaking the lug inside the rubber boot on the starter wire. Back to Walmart for a #4 copper lug (which is not properly crimped right now). I had to mangle the rubber boot on the other cable to get it to bolt up to the new battery. I stopped at some auto parts stores to see if they have the "double" wire connector with the rubber boots, but they don't. I'll call the dealer tomorrow, but I was wondering if there's someplace I can order one online. I assume I'll have to get a harness with the starter wire and the accessory wire, and the double-side-post connection. I tried the links on #1 Son's page, but couldn't locate the part. Does anyone know where to find one and how much it should cost?
