Put the front axle on jackstands. Lock in the hubs. Have someone spin the wheel while you look at the axle though the open knuckle and watch to see of the axle spins with the wheel. It should. Then unlock the hubs and have the wheel spun again while you watch. The axle should not spin. If it is spinning then the hubs are hanging up and need to be taken apart,cleaned and lubed again lightly.

: A few months ago I thought this was a problem with something else. Jacked it up but found nothing to indicate them being fully released. Although that's what I'm thinking. Any ideas on how to 100% check?
