Turns out the problem was the steering box backlash screw. It was about 1/4 turn too tight. Steers like a dream now. I can hardly believe the difference a 1/4 turn on a screw can do for the steering. The adjustment was quite sensitive! Backing off 1/8 turn did nothing, 1/4 turn and it's as good as anything I've driven, 3/8 turn and it had the sail boat syndrome (very SLOPPY). That was the cheapest front end fix I've ever done!
