Getting to the point of needing new tires on 98 C1500. Original tires are 235/75 (15")
Do mostly highway (on road) driveing and pull heavy boat (have 3.73, Limtd slip rear w/ tow pckg). From post on this board and others I'm looking at the Michelin LTX M/Ss as they seem to come highly recommended.
My question is regarding the size. What are the disadvantages to going w/ a larger tire like 265/75 or even biger like the 30/10.5 (wierd sizes). Will I have to get spedo readjusted? Will this be better/worse for towing? If no differences I would like to get a bigger tire (I think larger tires would look better) but performance is more important to me.
Any suggestions?
